Reliable PFAS Destruction Solutions

Stellar Waterworks is at the forefront of PFAS destruction, offering cutting-edge technologies that help eliminate these persistent contaminants from water systems.

Traditional PFAS treatment technologies, such as granular activated carbon (GAC) and ion exchange, are designed to capture contaminants rather than destroy them. While effective at removing PFAS from water, these systems generate secondary waste streams that require ongoing handling, disposal, or regeneration. This approach increases long-term operational costs and shifts the burden of PFAS management rather than eliminating it entirely.

The ElectroFrac system utilizes a proven two-step treatment process to both remove and permanently destroy PFAS compounds. First, foam fractionation concentrates PFAS by separating them from the bulk water stream. The concentrated waste is then treated through electrooxidation, where PFAS molecules are broken down and mineralized at the molecular level. This integrated approach effectively treats both long-chain and short-chain PFAS, delivering comprehensive treatment without producing secondary waste.

Unlike conventional filtration systems, The ElectroFrac performs on-site PFAS destruction, eliminating the need for off-site disposal or additional treatment processes. By mineralizing PFAS compounds directly within the system, utilities and operators can significantly reduce waste handling requirements, lower lifecycle costs, and improve overall environmental outcomes. This approach provides a more sustainable and future-ready solution for PFAS compliance.

The ElectroFrac system is designed with flexibility and scalability in mind, allowing each system to be tailored to site-specific PFAS concentrations and treatment goals. Systems can be configured to treat flow rates ranging from 10,000 to over 40,000 liters per hour, with higher capacities available upon request. This modular approach ensures optimal performance across a wide range of applications while allowing for future expansion as treatment needs evolve.
